Merlin have a cracking deal on these at the moment, and wondered if anyone owns a pair and if they are any good or not.

Myself I have never owned or ridden in a pair or riding trousers, I usually stick to shorts and knee pads year round, but I'm not getting any younger and thought I should take the plunge.

My main concerns are over-heating I tend to get VERY hot when riding (thus the shorts all year round)

any opinions/experiences?

    no experience but i imagine you will get a bit sweaty inside. any trousers will be warmer than shorts. you might be better off wearing some roadie style tights instead??
