Trail/Tarmac Tyre?

Hi
Got a Decathlon 8.1 and loving it. Not so enamoured with the tyres (Michelin Country Trail) that came with it though as they seem v slippy on wet surfaces (have very nasty haematoma on right hip to prove it).
We mostly do trails but with a bit of road. More or less no serious mud.
Anyone recommend a tyre for this bike that won't slip about so much on wet surfaces?
TIA
Adri

How much tarmac? You may be better off with semi slicks if the trails aren't slippy and you spend a fair bit of time on the road.
Specialized Crossroads semi-slicks are pretty chunky (pretty heavy too though).2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)

For something of good quality that will roll fast on the road and give a decent grip offroad and on i think this is a pretty good deal http://www.bike-discount.de/shop/k371/a ... tubes.html. Light, with a good compound.0

I roughly use my MTB 50/50 on trails and road and find Panaracer Fire XC Pro's a good choice. I run them at 35 psi on the trail and pump them up to 55 psi on the road. Great all round tyre.2012 Boardman FS Team
