Lezyne Lights - Batteries

I have a couple of Lezyne lights (mini-drive and super-drive XL) that I use for commuting and am pleased with them. However, now that the clocks are about to change I find that I can no longer go out for a fun ride later on, or take a longer (30mile+) route home as the charge in the batteries doesn't last long enough. I've checked on Wiggle and the Lezyne 18650 battery for the super-drive xl is priced at about £24 - which seems expensive to me .

I've done a bit of searching on t'internet and came across an Xtar 18650 Li-ion battery for £11.99 and it's also 3.7V but rated at 3100mAh compared to the Lezyne branded one of 2400mAh, or a Nitecore one rated at 2600mAh for £9.95

I presume that as the output voltage from these batteries is the same as the Lezyne one that it would be safe to use in my Lezyne Super-Drive XL without damaging it, and that the larger mAh rating just means that it'll last slightly longer when in use ?

Yup. 18650 is a standard battery size.
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.
