Difference between competition and supercomp spokes?

I'm looking at getting a custom wheelset ordered and looking around am seeing quite a price difference between DT competition spokes and supercomps, I understand supercomps are stronger - has anyone got real experience of them both and was a difference noticed?

Supercomp are triple butted, ie have three different thicknesses (the two ends are different to each other, the middle thinner than both). Basically with this spoke you get a light weight spoke that is a bit stiffer than say the Revolution, and lighter than the standard Comp.

Super Comps are 2mm at the thread, 1.7 in the middle, 1.8mm at the elbow, is that what you mean? :?

Revolutions are 2.0/1.5, or can be had in 1.8/1.5 if you look hard enough.
