Fox RP2 Shock Propedal lever problem

Hello, hoping someone can help...

The propedal lever on my RP2 shock seems to have lost it's positiveness, and now rotates beyond where it used to stop on the "open" side. I've had a look at the lever, and tightened the grub screw holding it on. This has improved the feel of the switch, but it will still rotate beyond where it should do.

I have a friend's bike next to mine with the same shock, and his is definitely tighter. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Shock is only 2 months old, and has only done 250 miles, so will probably be looking to take back under warranty if it's not immediately fixable.

Thanks for any suggestions

No help, but mine started doing the same. LBS could only help by saying send it away for service.

Have you checked the little grub screw that holds the lever on it might be loose.

Yes, checked this, the spindle is definately turning further than it should. I can't feel any difference with the damping etc, but none the less it's rather annoying on a 2 month old bike.

Think I will try to get it sorted under warranty

  • This happened to my RP2 on my Zesty, turned out the propedal mechanism had seized.
The bike was still less than a year old but I did not take it back to LBS, I just contacted Mojo by phone then filled in an online form to book it in.
All that was required was to then send in the shock with a photocopy of my receipt and they repaired it under warranty, got it back in 3 days although lead times do very depending on how busy they are.
