Reducing fork height with sag

After a long chat with a mechanic at TF, it seems my 170mm Lyrik can't be reduced with the travel spacers. I was hoping to drop the Lyrics on my 150mm Moment for some light DHing next week. I'm a bit dubious about leaving the fork at full 170mm... So I'm thinking about increasing the sag to drop it's ride height.
Can anyone make some recommendations on fork settings to help it feel stable still? The fork is high and low speed compression, and rebound (obviously) adjustable. I'm thinking less air in the spring and more of both compression resistance. Sound reasonable?

does not work- the folk is still too long and will be extended all the time has it comes off the ground increasing side loads and stiffening up the movement.
TBH i would look at new fork or new frame.
what fork is it? year version etc...."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Second hand fork so I can't say precisely the year. It's a 170mm R2C2 DH though. The mechanic was a little uncertain but seemed to think the all travel spacer wouldn't fit... but he didn't sound convinced. They can apparently fit new base plates to adjust the travel though. I'd like to be able to add/remove a spacer depending on whether I'm running it on the Moment or Torque.0

Why are you dubious leaving it at full travel? Do you want a steeper head angle?0

The general consensus is if it's a 150mm travel frame, you could run a 160mm travel fork max. My Lyrik is only 10mm more than that but... I'm just being wary. It's an older Moment and I haven't found any specs online to suggest what the A2C height limit is.0

If you take them apart you may well find a way of reducing the travel using some sort of spacer above the rebound stop even if it's not 'official' it will only be the same way that most systems work!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
