I was expecting an epic 2 stages, but instead they only use one stage, and it looks a bit rubbish (in comparison to last years)

Hope it changes!

  • Take a look over in the Sportive section. It is being discussed there.

  • What a disappointment :(

I viewed the TdeF route at work yesterday and ran around the office telling everyone that I was heading to France to take on Ventoux once again and probably a second stage in the Alps!

5 minutes later, after seeing the etape route, I did another round of the Office apologising for my explosion of joy and explaining that I would not be going anywhere.

I am not traveling to France to cycle 130 Km 'near' some of the iconic climbs of the TdeF. Route is not challanging enough to be worth the time and effort

    Paris-Roubaix or Liege-Bastogne-Liege instead?

You can just go to the Alps and ride your bike anyway, following one of the stage routes.
