New gloves please

I'm looking to get some new gloves as my current ones are falling apart.
I want something relatively thin with minimal padding and would like it to be windproof (ish) as the weather is turning colder now. I don't want something super warm I have glove liners that I can use when its really cold, I just want something to block the wind out.
My usual gloves are highly ventilated so even with liners the wind cuts straight through.
Any suggestions please?

Try the giro midweight gloves. Nice fit, good windproofing.A Flock of Birds

Look at the Gore range. Their Windstopper ones do what it says on the tin.
Not massively insulated but no need and they can come with minimal padding. Bit pricey but like most of their stuff is well worth it0 -

Tried searching for "giro midweight gloves" nothing obvious popped up. Do you mean something like this?

Yes, or the ambient. I cant remember which is the lighter weight one, but the lighter (rated to a higher temp) one is the one to go for.A Flock of Birds

The Gore can be had off Amazon quite cheap right now....Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Don't like the look of the Gore cycling gloves they look like they have too much padding for me.

But I do like the golf ones. These look pretty good:

Thanks for your suggestions so far guys. Some good options for me to look at.0 -
I've just received these from Wiggle

I can't recommend them yet because I've yet to wear them out but they are super comfortable to try on and seem well rated, hence my purchase! These would fit the bill for you I reckon, those golf ones must be very very thin and wouldn't be designed to keep out the wind chill generated on a bike IMO.Vaaru Titanium Sram Red eTap

The DHB gloves look like they have lots of insulation? Is that true or just how the picture looks?
I'm really after a summer glove but without all the ventilation and mesh so the golf glove might be right. I have glove liners to use if I need more warmth but the main aim is to just stop the wind cutting through.
Trying to find a Giro dealer nearby to take a look at the Blaze, currently using Giro DJ gloves which I really like so would be nice to stick with Giro assuming they all have similar cuts0 -
I'd watch out with golf gloves...for a sport where you're basically walking around really slowly I'd think they'd be too hot for riding.
I have the Fox Dirtpaw Rockstar which are too warm for Alpine summers but pretty good at this time of year - although it's still knocking around 26°C over here but they look like they've got less padding than the standard Dirtpaw and no mesh to be seen. gore alp-x are worth a look, basically just like a normal long-fingered 'summer' glove but with windstopper, can get merino liners under mine as well which work well down to about 8c, I'd probably want more insulated outers any colder than that.0

Specialized BG long fingered range are good. Cover a range from lightweight to medium at a good price, too. minimal padding.
I use these.

I like my Fox Inclines, not much padding and give me a good feel of the bike when not riding gnarly stuff.0

I really like my Bell Shasta gloves that I got from Asda, of all places - great fit, good grip and not over bulky.
They have gel pads on the palm but they're thin and unobtrusive. No rubbing seams or anything, cost a tenner.0 -
I have Giro Blaze 2s and am very happy...my favourite pair of gloves0

These are what I wear outside of summer (I dont get cold hands) They are mega tough and comfy, you can get them off ebay or Amazon but make sure they are not chinese knockoffs there are plenty about.
