Hi
I wear contact lenses and I wear cycling shades, but in misty and that horrible light rain there a nightmare and I can't see a thing, is there a coating or something I can put on them or anything I could do.
Thx.

I've a set of bloc glasses that came from Halfords. Think about £40 with 3 lenses, one is yellow which is very good for fog type visibility. The other is clear with a very slight tint, I tend to use that all the time unless the sun is going to be in my face in which case it's Oakley time.0

I'm in the same position - eyewear s a must to stop my contacts drying out even for the shortest of rides - in the past I've just had to put up with the clouded vision in adverse conditions I think it's part and parcel of having to wear eyewear!0

You need a hydrophobic coating for the outside of the lens.0 -
Yellow lenses are great in low light conditions. I think that you can buy some lens cleaning spray at the opticians, which leave a hydrophobic coating (could be wrong on this though!)
You could also try wearing a cycling cap, which should keep some of the rain away from your lenses as you ride.0 -
Never tried it on the outside of anything, but the sprays used to treat the inside of motorbike helmet visors may well work in light, misty rain. They certainly work a treat on the inside of stuff that mists up.Mangeur0

Rain-X
It's a hydrophobic temporary coating for automotive glass - works a treat, I've been using it for 15+ years, rarely need to use wipers. I also apply to my clear lenses
£5 a bottle from almost any automotive spares shop such as Halfords.0 -

I use 'Rapid' eyewhere which have 5 interchangeable lens. Give superb clarity when biking and are designed for different lighting conditions. I use them when I fly Helicopters.Wilier cento uno.0

Noooo!
That's for the inside of visors and screens, and - oddly - it's completely useless
It's the yellow bottle of Rain-X you want.0
