How much is my bike worth

Hi guys,

I have recently bought a new bike, so trying to sell my old one. As a brief description, it's a Raleigh steel frame (from the good days), very nice to ride, just to large for me, so got a new one. Not sure of age as I bought it second hand 2 years ago, but the frame was in perfect condition. I upgraded most of the components myself and has been very well maintained.
Sizewise I think its a 20 or 22 inch

I will either sell it with R500 wheels or R500 front and Easton EA30 (I think that's right what came stock with Cube peloton) at the back. They will be clad with almost new schwalbe ultremo zx tyres (came with new bike, so used for a few weeks, but decided to use my old tyres in the end).

And it has 105 gearset (5600), but for the chainset that's a fsa gossamer one with Shimno 105 Hollowtech BB.
I don't have a pic here at work, can get you one when I get back home.

My question is how much do you guys think its worth?

How long is your piece of string?
  • Short answer is that it's worth more in component form, than as a whole.

I've just jazzed up a mid 80s Peugeot Elite, with more or less the same bits - on a good day on ebay I could probably get £150 for the wheels and Shimano stuff, then a further £30 for the frame on it's own. Stick the whole thing on for 7 days and I doubt it'll get more than £100

On the other hand, if you want to sell it, drop me a line. I fancy another project to squander money on.

Whatever someone is willing to pay and generally considerably less than you would like.
    Yellow is the new Black.
