On the body armour merry go round at the moment. Did have an IXS hammer sit which I qite liked although the curvature of the back protector was uncomfortable. Have been looking at the sas-tec ones (661 evo and nukeproof critical suits) which are more than i wanted to pay bt do look comfy and light. Trouble is, I did have a 661 subgear top and it didnt seem to wick very well, and i was wringing wet after half an hour or so of riding. Would the same thing happen? was also looking at fox titan as good price conventional armour on CRC.

Can't afford to go any higher in price than this though!

Thanks for advice. J

HI. if you're interested i have an unworn 661 pressure suit (like the one on CRC at £179, although a different colour) which i bought when i had shoulder surgery. apart from trying it on its unworn as i went for the subgear (yes, its sweaty but no big deal) and dont do any real DH anyway. its an XL but they tend to come out slightly smaller, with masses of stretch. let me know if interested and i'll let you have some photos. i've been meaning to put it on ebay. my office is just outside Solihull if you want to make me an offer and have a look . cheers

FWIW you can brutalise the Hammer into various shapes... I found mine all misshapen at first til I got the top plate bent down a bit. SO if you've still got it, might be worth giving that a try.
