Hello guys,
im going to travel to United States in February 2013 and im looking at some options of Full Susp. 29ers to buy. Got to 3 options where i am in doubt. I need help from you guys to solve my doubt.

- Cannondale Scalpel 29er Carbon 2
- Scott Spark 910
- Specialized Epic Expert Carbon 29

    Will you be bringing the bike back? Don't forget to allow for customs costs as they will almost certainly hit a new bike!
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    I will bring it back to Brazil, but i will pay customs taxes, it will be cheaper than buy it here... :)

    Take it for a ride, not a new bike then!

    Try and get a ride on all 3 and buy the one you like most. I'd get the Spesh.

    For customs purposes it is....unless it's more than 6 or 12 months old (different items tend to be one or the other, don't know about bikes)

    The trick is to take a shonky old bike in a bike bag with you, junk it and bring the dirty new one back.... that way you have evidence you took 'the' bike out!

    That's a lot of effort, and they generally don't care about what you took out. One of those internet 'recommendations' which in practice is pretty pointless IMO!
