Been waiting a while for this and in the end the frame was shipped from Australia.

2013 S-Works Roubaix SL4 with SRAM Red Black and Fulcrum Racing 1

Just shy of 7kg

Photos poor, sorry, there is no clear space in the garage to get a good shot, and I'm unlikely to get a day light shot this side of next spring.

It is joy to ride, just makes you go fast, I'm going to need to spend the winter on the turbo just to be able to keep up with it

Would look great with some Vittoria Paves or some natural sidewall Vittoria Corsa SC tyres...

    Very nice bike @ Jealous.com! :D

Hmm, Paves might work, but not sure about Corsa, but they might look good on the broom :)

  • Enjoy it when it does.

Hopefully you'll get the right seat post.. I'm still waiting for mine.

    Very comfy and fast.

What are building it up with?

    Strange story. :)

I'm actually getting one of this seasons (2012) OPQS bikes.

Got a friend who has contacts at QS, so he can source the bikes fairly cheaply (in comparison) to the RRP price.

Thing is, I don't actually know what components it will come with (in fact, I'm not even sure if it'll be an SL3 or an SL4), apart from it will have SRAM Red. Not sure on wheels (which is my biggest concern) but the rest of the stuff should be ZIPP (hopefully the wheels will be as well).

I can't really argue for the money though, and if the bike isn't to my liking I should be able to recoup the money I spent.

I'll post it up as soon as I get my hands on it.

I did notice that didn't look like the new seat post.

    Cheers,
    FJ

Imagine the confusion when he goes into his local Specialized shop and asks for a " Cobble Gobbler"

Picked my bike up last week and a tad disappointed that it wasn't a Roubaix but a Tarmac.

Quick shot of bike is here:- http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=12889243

Was warned towards the start of the process that it was a bit of a lottery, and apparently there has been a lot of demand for the ex-team bikes this year due to the massive success of the team (well, Boonen).

still a good looking bike FJ

Tikej, nice bike, have you had a ride on it yet? But I do feel the need to point you in the direction of Rule 8

Also what have they said to you about the seatpost availability?

That looks like the same seat post as my SL3. I'd not bother with the Cobl Goblr unless you really plan to go on the cobbles. The normal post is just fine even on very bad roads.

Saddle is black and seat post also....but it will be delivered jan/feb....there was a note from Specialized regarding cobl gobr availability...had only one ride, since its raining here in Slovenia all the time, but i managed to take it for a ride.....spriniting is good, and it way more comfortable than sl3...especially on bumpy road....not quite as nervouse and super responsive but still a very fast ride. Iam very impressed by di2 ultegra performance...wheels are a bit heavy but my budget was limited. I put specialized rbx leather tape on it...soft and nice to touch...and a rbx toupe seat...would love to put a set of zipp wheels on it....maybe nexy year :) and a garmin k mart mount on it, and another bidon holder since they had only one at my LBS.

Cobl Goblr is a part of frameset at no additional cost and it looks good imho...

    Enjoy the riding

Nice - what size is that, am pleased to see that it doesn't seem to have the usual Roubaix mahoosive head tube

Love that matt black, funnily enough I've a Spesh in the same colour - sadly it's a 2004 Sirrus!!!!

It's just a hill. Get over it.
  • It's a 56. Head tube is quite big. Much higher than my other bike, hence the -16 degree stem angle compared to a +4 on my other bike :)
