Back to using the bright lights and finding cars waiting for me, letting me overtake parked cars on my side.
Waiting at junctions
Leaving HUGE gaps when over-taking
Waiting behind me until it's clear to overtake, no rushing
Flashing main beam to let me know I can go...

God I love Winter commuting. (yes I know it's only Autumn, shut up I was making a point)

I know Summer is great for the lightweight rides and lovely warm days, but Winter riding is great fun for entirely different reasons, but you know: it's was dark, damp, muddy and cold this morning and I loved it.

In other news don't disc brakes make one HELL of a racket when they get wet???

The only problem with winter commuting is turning right.

And yes, discs can be noisy, but they make a hell of a racket whilst attenuating your speed. Compare rim brakes in the wet which silently do fuck all. And I didn't say fark.

Apply the masshoof power a little more gently and you'll avoid making a noise which starts dogs howling.

First run home tonight when I thought...aah, will need lights tomorrow.

This morning looked out of the window and thought it looked OK, was it 'eck. Got totally drenched in that sort of misty rain that gets you far wetter than you think.

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness and all that.

Epically failed to remember lights for London today and boy I would have needed them, had to walk instead still beats the choob and its pretty rare to see London cloaked in fog for a whole day lots of people taking pics of the Thames skyline.

Same, would have been OK if it wasn't for the lazy clouds, honestly just rain or be fog enough with this mist.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

Its pretty warm here still, just been out yo the man cave to tucked the fleet in for the night and its easily T-shirt temps. 15c on the old mini weather station, not bad for this time of the year and night.

I don't know if you meant this as a joke, but this actually did happen this morning. I thought my mate was playing silly buggers but he told me it was the dog I passed while braking that was joining in.
