I have just fitted 2 bottle cages to my bike. Into the cages I am placing 2 750ml transparent bottles. Now my question is, what colour drink should I use so as not to mess up my bikes colour co-ordination ? The bike in question is Titanium coloured with blue and white bits on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Very funny but unfortunately wasted on those who would post this type of thing as they will think this is a genuine question.

I know that crimson hued beverages are faster but that information does not help my co-ordination efforts .

Could you recommend a blue sports drink that would cover both my electrolyte and energy requirements ? All I can think of is Blue WKD but I'm pretty sure it would hamper my cycling efforts.

  • If you're looking for blue then Powerade Mountain Blast might be worth a try ... ?? Tastes like crap mind, but it might fit in with your colour scheme. And it has "power" in the brand name so should make you go faster as well ...:lol:
  • Blue slush puppy.

Don't be silly, the frame is grey. The drink needs to be blue and grey.

    We should ask cruiserweight ;-)

No sorry! I was thinking Blue Bols and Vodka so not much help.

logitech208's blue Slush Puppy suggestion might work with a High5 Zero tab thrown in :)

The only grey beverage that springs to mind is a concoction my Nan used to give to my Grandad to help his very irregular bowel movements, again probably going to impinge on my cycling enjoyment.

Don't drink blue stuff; I was 'made' to drink a brandy goblet of blue stuff on my 40th birthday, I very quickly lost the power of speech and had to have a lie down. Not conducive to setting PBs !

5 parts lager, 5 parts cider, 1 part blue bols.

    1) Will keep you warm on the winter rides
    2) Is a glowing green colour - implication of radioactive and therefore cars will give you a wide berth. Much safer and more colour co-ordinated than a stupid orange lollipop sticking out from the seatstays.

I am beginning to think that some of the above posters are not taking this thread serious. If getting drunk or poisoning myself are the only options I may just exchange the transparent bottles for some opaque or solid coloured ones.

That just so happens to be the lightest colour too (at least 44.2% lighter than red fluids) you will definatly look good and go faster.
