Another Oakley/armstrong thread!

I wear Oakleys, for cycling, golf and cricket, and leisure. my opinion has not lessened at all due to the lance affair as i dont care about that, they are good sunnies for all sports and leisure.
However i have oakleys with the livestrong theme on the arms, (black mostly with the yellow). i will keep wearing them, as i like them, they do the job, and look good. i have no moral issues with oakley/lance. livestrong is a good cause. i bought them cos they looked good, not for any particular moral or support for livestrong/armstrong.
however not that i am too bothered (just a bit curious) how would you think of someone still wearing livestrong oakleys in light of the armstrong affair. (90% of the uk population havent a clue what livestrong is or what colour represnsts them imo anyway,so suppose its only relevant to other cyclist who are guess are more familiar with it).
i will carry on, and would not think anyless of others with livestrong branded stuff (or specific lance stuff tbh), just interested to see what others think.
appreciate this has been done to death, especially in neebs thread, and call this a vanity thread if you want, but not seen it raised specifcially about livestrong branded ones.

I've a pair of the same glasses and have no concern about wearing them - even assuming for a moment that Armstrong is the devil incarnate, he has done a great thing in creating LiveStrong, and they continue to do great things for people with cancer.
Not so sure about them looking good though - I bought mine because they were the cheapest Jawbones I could find!

should add i dont condone what lance did, and obvisoulsy it was despicable, unacceptable behaviour, but what he did has no impact on my brand choice whatsoever.
also wear wm for tennis when necessary, jack of all sports master of none...0 -
It'll be a brave man who wears LiveStrong Oakleys. There will be rioting in the streets everytime you go out with them on.
Be careful, very, very careful.0 -

Tennis! TENNIS! The most hated sport of cyclists! It's always tennis that overruns into the cycling on Eurosport! :shock:0 -
Why do people care so much about this whole Nike/Lance debacle? I will keep wearing said Livestrong products because they do a job, regardless of perceived affiliation. Strikes me as highly ironic considering it's all made in sweatshops by exploited Asian kids anyway.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0

idc as i say will keep wearing, just interested what others who actually give a toss about lance think! (maybe just contadicted myself, but hey ho) think the motivation here is to find someone who would actually have an issue with it and laugh at them. no bites yet though!0

Still see people wearing livestrong jerseys, there are still a couple of livestrong branded cycling machines at my gym. The world moves on, I guess I will get over it ...0

There are basically two types of people. People who accomplish things, and people who claim to have accomplished things. The first group is less crowded.0 -

My opinion is that there are people present and past who have done great things and no doubt done some horrible things to get to the position to do the said great thing.
Lance has set up a foundation to help people, even if as in most charities some is creamed off the top, there is money going to a good cause. Livestrong is an cancer fighting brand. Yes set up by a cheat but I am sure there are worse out there. I don't own anything Livestrong personally but this would never put me off getting anything to help its cause.0
