I persoanally 'pre-abuse' other cyclists. I like to term it 'prebuse' as it lends an air of sincerity to it. It often results in me hoofing anybody weaker looking than me, which is generally most people in lycra, and shouting obscenities.

It is pro-active and as I do it to people regardless of age, creed or sexual orientation, I can consider myself 'of equality'.

seriously, u kicked someone off their bike as you overtook, for no other reason than looking smug???? is that the only reason??

what if this person had fallen in front of a vehicle or smashed their head? do you not care how dangerous what you did was? what if someone did this to one of your kids or wife??

Oh no, now we have all criticised him for being a Thuggish fool he has decided to play the Racism card, and amended his original story now claiming the target of his kick racialy abused him as he over took him. This guy really has some issues!

Maybe he's setting up a sister movement for cycling of kick racism out of football but as he's only double 18 took it too literally

Well according to him he's 26 (that's double 13!) and been road cycling 4 weeks... viewtopic.php?t=12880665

    Hi Guys,

New Roadie here. 26 Years Old and 15years on a mountain bike and looking for a new challenge, the olympics spured some curiosity into me.

My plan is to sell what I have now and im considering a Trek Madone or Domane, Im swaying to a Domane due to the comfort factor and im looking for comfort in my first bike....

Excellent spot there. I pointed out that his profile said 26 rather than the 36 he claimed, and then suddenly he edited it to say 36.

Making age an issue at all is making me think he's more likely to be 16 than 26 or 36. Funny how he's gone a bit quiet now :)

Well I'm sure he's tucked up in bed now, maybe he'll be along in the morning. I also suppose if people are going to be insulting, obnoxious and rude to other people (in other threads) and generally troll, then they should be slightly more careful about covering their tracks.

So Mr Phil... I know exactly which bike shop I won't be visiting on in Manchester and which one I'll be telling everyone I know not to visit either. Especially Wed-Sat when you are there. What a grade 'A' k*^b, I'm sure your boss will be really pleased with you...

This is a great thread with interesting reading, I have been abused a couple of times for overtaking one recieving actual verbal abuse, my reply to him was the best move ive ever made and will I wont refrain from doing it again.

after some abuse going for the pass I did not respond with words, a quick glance his way, unclipped and a swift boot to his waist, this resulted in knocking him off balance and clipping the curb and going over his handle bars in a heap.

safe to say I will continue to use this on any of those arrogant pricks who think that because im young I can be spoken to like a piece of shoot.

its time to sort this attitude out that roadies have, I hope some of you reading this learn as there will be a swift boot to anyone who dares give me lip again.

    Classy.

Hmm Manchester... Being kicked off your bike by an 18 year old for being a grumpy bar steward. Sounds like a fun place

you obviously cannot read posts very well, im almost double 18, saves you having to go back and read it, if I come across another grumpy sod ill kick him off to until all these roadies with attitudes finally look at themselves and see that they are the issue with this sport.

Classier still, you're on a roll.

Ok what if I was to say the abused recieved was racist and derogitary? would you call the reaction "justice" then? or should I choose to ignore racism and ride on and leave the c*nt feeling smug with himself?

I very much doubt any of your 'tory' actually happened. If I was the victim of your made up story. i.e the person getting kicked. I would have the riight to defend myself. I would then proceed to break your leg. I have a martial arts liscence that states I can defend myself against the leg you used to endanger me. But, as none of this actually happened. Lets move on.

Never had any abuse when I been overtaking or being passed myself - there is always someone better but I always say hello.

Had a good example this summer though when I was going up a very shallow but long climb in the moorfoot hills one evening and a group passes me but all said hello but I could see them check out my kit/bike vs how slow I was going(I was crawling up this climb very slowly). I had already had 160miles plus in the legs and I was unable to go any faster but had no way to communicate how bad I was feeling but if I was fresh then as any other cyclist I would have upped my game and tried to drop them.

I'm almost double 17 and on Saturday I will be....but this guy is either a total tool or has made a really bad effort at telling a true story. Even if it is true it still would be a story of a totally unacceptable racist (they do exist) and a very angry man.

this thread (and his other one) seems to say he is a tool

Me or anyone else, as there clearly isnt any, and you now just feel damn stupid for posting it, ergo the pretence at sarcasm, which is about as real as the other idiots made up scenario.
  • too many keyboard warriors here, however please name and shame im intrigued what shop this is as although im not from oop north im familiar with parts of manchester.

as for other sports he can save from snobbish attitudes, i just hope you have never played schools cricket against public schools, it would have been carnage!

Haha, this gets better, Captain Catnip is deleting his posts as we speak! So in the interests of fairness this was the link (publicly available) that gave the game away :-)

Edit: It's gone as fast as it came!
  • on second thoughts maybe this is a bit harsh, hes posted something very stupid, it may not even have been true, and now hes panicking bigtime, maybe that ebay link should be taken down (even though i asked for it to be named and shamed) we have had our fun now i think and maybe the op has learnt his lesson of posting stupid and reckless stuff...
  • I deleted the posts earlier this evening, just so people stumbling upon the thread dont continue to drag it up in future.

Unfortunatly my sarcastic and make believe posts had an opposite effect to what I intened, i did try to include plenty of sarcasm, and some did spot this.

If I had known this would have resulted in such a negative response I would have refrained from posting it.

ill apologise if some where offended or angered by these posts and is another reason why I removed them.

Oh how stupid he looks now.... I guess he's really hoping that no-one posts a link to his bike for sale (sorry now sold) and which bike store it could be collected from, where he works......no, I won't do it, but it is there for any to find who are so inclined. Never have visited your bike shop mate, definitely won't be doing so now. Clever? I doubt your bosses will think so...
