OMG how much better is a decent bike :D:D
For any beginner like me I promise you will definately notice the difference!
On a quick run out tonight I found myself looking for any road that went upwards it was that much more responsive
If all my future miles feel like the 6.5 I managed tonight happy days!!

Giant defy 1 (2013) model 10/10 :D

  • Once I knew that a road bike was for me I picked up a brand new dawes giro 400 for around £270 rather than £549 rrp
Don't get me wrong I think the frame is ok it has carbon forks and on the whole quite light and I'm grateful for its introduction to road cycling.
Now I've ridden the defy 1 I think I can honestly appreciate the difference when you upgrade, you will notice a difference! 100% .
The stiffness of the frame, the responsiveness of the bike, the sweeter gear changes, your effort in the pedals just seems so much more rewarded, especially up hills!
