Ok,
After getting involved in this thread - viewtopic.php?f=40042&t=12885182&start=20
It's only 25 posts,
And recently purchasing a cannondale based on the fact iv never heard anyone havea bad word to say about cannondale I'm looking for people's experiences with said brand...
I don't want a biased view, just wonder if what's been said on this thread is the norm with cannondale or is it the minority that is present in most brands.
Also where's the evidence to suggest that cannondale frames are worth the extra money?
Thanks in advance

You have the bike -do you really need anybody elses opinion? You have two cracking bikes there to enjoy.0

Tbh I really didn't post this thread to boost my own bike, however I haven't actually received my bike yet the delivery date is 19th Nov,
I think the reason for this thread was to reassure me (and perhaps other owners) that the statement made in the other thread was a little exaggerated and dales don't have a history of cracking.
Also iv head lots of positive reviews on dale frames and wonder what backs that up.
And thanks I'm very happy with the Trek and can't wait for the SupersixOne plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -
The CAAD aluminium frames were the ones brought into question, not the supersix, even if this did occur it would be in crashes - possible racing, as the CAAD 10 is a popular racing bike. Your supersix will be fine - unless you mean to crash frequently, I assume your new bike frame would be under warranty -which should cover normal riding. Ignore the other thread - what happens is that fanboys of various brands get irritated with each other and then start a bun fight.0

Yes I figured this was the case and let's face it we all like to defend our bikes,
No crashing the bike is pretty low on the agenda so hopefully i'll be okOne plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -
How are you getting on with the SuperSix mate?
I've had my SuperSix 105 Team for 2 months now and it gets better (or I'm getting fitter) every time I ride it . Lovely bike, very pleased!0 -
I got back into cycling a year ago and got a Cannondale Bad Boy hybrid for commuting to work. Absolutely love it, so much so I caught the road bike bug and bought a Supersix 105 a couple of months back which is simply superb.
I test rode competitive bike brands when buying both the BadBoy and the Supersix but for me the build quality and overall finish of the ‘Dales is a cut above the rest. It’s not surprising to barely ever hear a bad thing said about them on the forums.0 -
Quality product and I never have any qarms about parting with my hard earned for a cannondale.
Really tempted on a Basso Astra frameset at the moment but I keep hoping a supersix evo will come along for the same money.Yellow is the new Black.0 -

Well technically he has one cracking bike and a Trek :P
Oi!!! The Trek is a good bike, I enjoy riding it, it's very smooth and comfortable it's just a bit Sunday afternoon, and I want something a bit more Friday night from the Cannondale...One plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -

I was going to tell you about my Cannondale until you said you don't want a biased view. Surely, unless someone out there has the relevant statistics, any view that anyone here offers you is going to be either biased, or a guess.CAPTAIN BUCKFAST'S CYCLING TIPS - GUARANTEED TO WORK! 1 OUT OF 10 RACING CYCLISTS AGREE!0 -
i like cannondale's color scheme which is why i bought the CAAD 8, and i like its Evo red's color scheme, which is why I have been looking at the EVO Red pictures like it's Jordan all the time and eagle eyed on the prices on the net...
bike buying got 50% first impression isn't it. there won't be anything wrong with your supersix esp with ultegra so you should feel assured.
My personal experience with my CAAD...its a lot fast than my 2010 allez sports. i liked the look of both bikes (i am a sucker for white bikes) but obviously the CAAD being 2 years advanced in terms of the BB tech and aslo got much better groupset. and i look good on it lol, i do check myself out when i go pass some large shop fronts
there are fair few posts on the web about cannondale frame cracked...1) they are generally high milage 2) there are also other big brand with cracked frames, just cos every one rates the Cannondale ones more than others, cannondale seems to get a lot more of the coverage.Road - Cannondale CAAD 8 - 7.8kg

Due to increase in workload iv rented a flat for six months in London so will be there for 3/4 days per week and would like a bike to ride in the evenings.
I am very happy with the Trek it genuinely is a lovely bike, but I'm going to enter a few races next year and the Dale will be better for that. One plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -

Or I guess, perhaps someone who has owned a few different bikes from different manufactures over the many years they have been riding? Or and I know this is waaaaay out there but maybe just maybe.....someone in the trade :shock:One plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -

I have had my 2013 Cannondale SuperSix 3 for about 6+ weeks now and absolutely love it. While I am not the most experienced of riders, and this is my first carbon frame I really do not have much else to compare it to other than the bike I replaced with the Cannondale. Prior to, I was riding a Fuji Newest model, heavy aluminum frame with mixed components, etc so upgrading to the SuperSix was a big leap. I recently completed my first triathlon relay with it and it served me well and I have no complaints with it.
If my opinion counts, 250+ miles of riding so far and I have no regrets buying the Cannondale and look forward to riding it every day possible.0 -

You must be one of the few with that actual bike, I haven't found many people with a 2013 model, do you have any pics of it up on the forum?

Thanks for the post
I didn't realize that they were hard to come by at this point. I was fortunate enough to get my Cannondale before they had even updated their website with the new 2013 bikes. To be honest, I was basing my decision on what I saw on the site at the time, which was the 2012 models. When I went to my shop, they told me about the new 2013 models/colors and I was almost immediately sold.
I really haven't had a chance to take many picture of the bike. I have wanted to take more photos of it, especially when I am out riding in different areas, but don't like stopping to get off the bike and take a picture - I would much rather keep on riding (as cliche as that may sound.) Here are a couple of pictures that I took with my iPhone the day I brought the bike home, and its really the only pictures I have right now.

That looks sweeeeeet
I can't wait for mine!!!! Roll on the 19th of November, if cannondale put the date back I'm gonna combust!!!
Thanks for posting those picsOne plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -
I've got a CAAD9. I've abused it horribly for several years and about 7000 miles. Through rain and snow, bouncing through pot-holes and jumping off kerbs, even an "incident" with a van turning left in to me, it just keeps ticking along and is still a joy to ride every single day.
Sample size of one I know, but they don't seem fragile to me!2010 Cannondale CAAD9 Tiagra0 -

Thanks, the saddle shown in the picture is the Fizik Arione that comes with the bike from Cannondale. I have since switched it out for the Fizik Alliante Versus.
Good luck with your order, hopefully you will get it soon enough and be able to start putting good miles on it.0 -
My Six carbon is almost 3 years old and I've never had any issues with it. The frame has been brilliant and I love riding it. I have upgraded the groupset (it came with 105 which I have put on my winter bike) and I put my best wheels on it and used the Aksiums for winter as well. I am looking to get a new fame next year and Super Six is top of my list. Would definitely buy again.0
