Hi, I'm new to bike radar and was hoping to get some help. I'm turning a steel 2004 kona explosif into a single speed and I'm trying to locate a dropout with tensioner. My better half has a 2007 model with kona parts yet I can't locate them ( neither can a local kona dealer! ) here's a pic of the 2007 part. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your rear frame configured like that to take a bolt on dropout?

    Pics of your frame?
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • The 2004 frame is exactly the same as the 2007

your Kona dealer is useless then.

    try another one.

as it is a Kona only part they should be able to sort it. not aware of anyone else making them.

I dont think the Identiti one will fit but you could try one.

CRC have loads of random Kona bits on sale at the moment, worth having a quick look.

  • Thank you very much cooldad, I'd already been on CRC and couldn't locate them. This time round both sides found and ordered and less than half price! Guess they're having a clear out of kona gear
