Thats an incredible amount of bike for the money, what price did it come to including postage? Was looking at these the other day and I'm very very tempted! Think I'm gonna start spending less on booze, and hope santa is nice to me this year!

It goes up and down with the euro each day the dearest I've seen it is £714 I paid around £708 plus packing and posting was £740 odd they charged me for one of them special boxes they do on bike discount.de but sent it in a normal box which pissed me off a tad but was not damaged or anything so not really a problem. Like you said it is a lot of bike for the dough. Took it out for a quick ten mile ride yesterday and got to say so far so good feels good to ride and very responsive.
  • Whats up Radon buddy.
They are great bikes, got mine before summer and still love it.

Hey how are you mate ? Only had one ride but loved it so far. How have you gone on with the forks ? Have you set them up properly ?
  • Got on fine with the forks, the dual air system makes it easy to tune for different riding conditions.
I have them set up softer at the moment to eat up little bumps as its to wet and muddy for venturing to far off road.
  • So where did you start when you set them up ? You've got the air + and air - on one leg and the lock out and turtle and hair symbols on other leg of the fork. I dont know what they do or where to start. The rock shox manual you get with the bike is just installation guide.

Use this viewtopic.php?f=40073&t=12629675 Set your sag first then play with the pressures to get the feel you want, it'll take a fair bit of playing about with. Did you get a shock pump with the bike? The red adjuster on the bottom of the fork is the external rebound, the turtle being a slow rebound, and the hare setting feels like a pogo stick!
  • There is a printed guide on the back of one of the fork legs which tells you what air pressures to use for specific rider weight which is a good starting point.

Heres the rockshox dual air tuning pdf

  • Ah cheers both useful and what I was looking for. Thanks

Set it by sag, the tuning guides are quite often wrong.
