So £60 rucksack nicked - inside it had two snicker bars and a puncture repair kit.
So not a lot of value - trouble is they smashed my car window (£500) to get it - f%cking Cu^&s

bad luck, I am surprised they found it0

it's no fair - I am sure they wouldn't have gone through all the hassle if they knew the value of what was in there - think they must have seen me making the effort to hide it (so someone would not glance at it and decide to break the window) and thought I had something of value in it!
All done on a busy London street with an alarmed car.0 -
That is why you take valuables with you, especially if they are as easy to take with you as a rucksack is. It's a shame that it happened, but you can't even give people the chance to watch you try to hide it!0

Privacy glass and obviously stuffed pillows mean there is something to hide. Thats why the boot is always a better option.
It reminds me of the old joke about the guy whose car window is repeatedly broken and his radio stolen (which in itself says how old the joke is).
After the third time, he doesn't replace the radio but puts a sticker over the radio hole which says 'No radio, stolen last time' and finds the following morning the window broken again and a different sticker which says 'thanks - just checking '0 -
Mate of mine had his laptop stolen from the boot of his car after some pond-life smashed the glass on his hatchback - while he was sitting in the car in a queue of traffic! - I've always been wary of Slough since then.....0

well I find it all depressing - the rucksack is just £60 - but the cost of the damages to a 3 month old car are just pointless - if only I had known I would have left the door open for them.
Guess next rucksack I buy will have to have a handy elctrocute if stolen gadget. That would be worth the £500 for the window - I could send it to U-been Framed and at least get £250 back.
I couldn't take the rucksack with me as I was going into an important meeting and would have been a bit out of place - I guess if I had put it in the boot they may have seen that (it was a hatchback) and they would have smashed an even more expensive window.0
