so on a bacons an egg butty, is the egg to be runny or hard?

personally, if the egg is hard, its the work of the devil an the sandwich is ruined

eggs are to be runny so the yoke covers the bacons

thoughts?

    That fine balance between not quite runny and not hard is the target. Egg nirvana indeed.

    runny but the bread needs to be thick enough to soak up the yoke

    This.

    Also, HP sauce is mandatory and some mushrooms can help.

    Runny. The bread needs to be lightly toasted to soak up the bacon fat and egg, rather than simply dissolving into a soggy, hard to eat mess. Especially important if brown sauce has been added

    Slightly toasted bread or roll. Runny but not too runny or hard. Bacon well done. Bit of Tommy Sauce.

    There is no such thing as a hard fried egg. The egg yolk is either runny or soft.

    Hush now, or I'll dribble on my keyboard.

    Just finished off a large hog roast bap with everything, and a massive wedge of bread pudding, which had definitely been doused with rum or brandy or some such. A VERY strong coffee was needed to start the afternoon.

    Egg = slightly runny.

    Question is - bacon; crispy? Very crispy? Or crunchy?
