SR Suntour Raidon X1 - maintenance

Hello,

I recently brought a voodoo hoodoo which has SR Suntour Raidon X1 forks.

When I was preparing for a ride earlier a small metal bar (about an inch long) fell out the bottom of the forks. I've still got the piece that fell out. I'm new to bikes and have limited knowledge.

Can someone tell me what the piece is called and how I fix it? Is there a dust cap missing?

Cheers

Edd

Like a small allen key? - probably the damper adjustment, just poke it back. Or leave it off and just use it when needed.

This. It'll be rebound adjustment. Set it then take it out.
  • Hello,

It looks like a small greased up allen key. I poked it back in but it fell out again, so I've just left it out for now.

Is the performance of the fork going to be affected if I leave it out? How do I 'set it' ?

    Thanks for the advice

It performs no function when your riding, you rotate it to set the rebound damping to what you want, if in doubt start at half way between min and max unless you are particularly heavy or light.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

So go to their website and download one - this is the internet, anything is possible. Obviously you children still need parental guidance.
