Anybody got an opinion on these

seems a good price but not sure on the rear forks? Anyone ever ridden one?

  • I'm looking at potentially getting the same bike.

Not a huge amount of reviews on it online.

But I trust you've seen this one? :

I'm tempted to get decent 29er hardtail instead but want a full suss.

I think the main competition for the bike is probably the new Giant Trance X 29er. It just got a 3 1/2 star review in What Mountain Bike but that was a much higher speced trance than the camber above.

Beyond that maybe a Trek Rumblefish but you'll need to throw more money at it.

But at the price point for a mid travel bike with something more about it than XC bike but not a DH bike either the camber seems to hit the spot. Front shock is fairly decent as well.

Only issue for me is weight as I don't think it's supposed to be the lightest. The M4 frame on this also goes back to 2010 but don't think that's a biggy.

Rear fork, front shock.....am I in an alternate universe?

The Ario is a competatnt enough shock, the Cambers style of rear suspension puts less emphasis on the shock anyway.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
  • not an alternative universe. but it is of course the weekend 8)
