    If you want good advice about riding on the road, look no further than Cyclecraft by John Franklin. It explains very clearly how best to cycle safely and legally (in that order). It is aimed at UK riders but the principles will apply everywhere where the majority of drivers are not blood-thirsty maniacs. Only you can judge whether that makes it suitable for wherever you live :wink: .
