SRAM x9 rear mech - how much play?

Wondering whether to replace my X9, there is some side to side play in the cage and from the pivot points - can anyone advise how much is too much? I know the jockey wheels are shagged and need replacing, but it looks like for another thirty quid on top I can replace the whole thing.

Thanks in advance,

BTM

Our old X5 was slopping all over the place but still shifted reliably and didn't skip gears.

BBB rollerboys are the cheapest replacement jock's for the SRAM (pre 2010) mechs.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
