9 speed crankset with 10 speed drivetrain?

Sorry if this is obvious. I've searched the forum and checked the faq's to no avail.
Will an m665 shimano slx crankset (double and bash) be compatible with a ten speed drivetrain (xt cassette, kmc chain, slx mechs and slx rapidfire shifters). I would be moving from 3x10.
Any help gratefully received.

Lots of people are running 10 rear with a 9 front, it may not be 'optimal' but work just fine.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
