Front Mech Question

My front mech snapped, due to too much power. I am sure many of you are familiar with this problem. So to increase my gears from 10 back to 20, I need a new one. My question is this, on this first mech, you can see a screw that lets you open up the bottom of the mech to allow the chain in.
On this mech, the screw is not visible. Is it just on the other side? Does the chain need to be split to use the mech?
The second one is a full 40% off so I'm leaning towards getting that one (I need braze on)

I just undid the screw, widened the cage a little and slipped the chain in.The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -

New one hasn't got a screw......0 -
Screws seem to be going back out of fashion, they do add weight of course.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

OP - Have you got the mech yet? As far as I can see, the screw is there, the head is just on the other side of the cage. You can see the threaded hole pretty clearly.
Anyway, splitting the chain is no big deal.0 -

I've ordered it, not got it yet as it was just this morning
Yeah that was my thinking, that it might be on the other side, which is kinda why I asked. Like you say though, not a huge deal if it isn't.- Genesis Croix de Fer
