Hi,
Anybody know if you can fit a normal 1.5 headset to a cube stereo 2012 frame so that a normal 1.5 steerer fork would fit?
I understand that the frame comes out with a FSA Orbit Z 1.5R semi-integrated headset... not sure what the semi integrated means - can it just be removed and fitted with a normal 1.5 headset?
Many thanks

You need a semi integrated 1.5 headset (sometimes called Zero Stack, or internal). Not a reduction or tapered headset.0

I have a Stereo HPC. The bearings sit in cups top and bottom. The bottom bearing is 1.5" and needs the correct crown race reducer for 1 1/8 steerer (which wasn't the case with the one supplied with the bike and destroyed the bearing hence I am very familiar with the headset for this bike). The top is 1 1/8" and I think you might have trouble getting a thin enough bearing to take the larger steerer. Probably the best thing to do is take the headset apart and measure it.All of these things....0
