*SRAM Force question ?*

Hi

I'm new to biking, my Jamis has SRAM force gears, the rear change very smoothly but the front one makes a loud clunk when you change down. It's smooth to change up but when you push the leaver over to move down it sounds like a loud clunk.

Is this normal ??

I've never had them before and thought it just seemed odd, that it changes down with such a clunk
