...and it goes *PING*...and then there's the sound of it hitting the side of somebody's car.

I feel two things at the same time:

1. bad that a stone that came off my wheel and hit somebody's car
2. SHOT!!!

I justify the second feeling by thinking there was nothing I could do about it, it just happened.

However, it appears some drivers might seek revenge!

Am I the only one who does it on purpose (not at cars!). 110psi in 24mm tires on the fixie makes for a brilliant stone pinger.

Aim at 'em, clip 'em, whatch 'em whang!
FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits
CAADX 105 beastie for bumpy bits
    Litespeed L3 for Strava bits

Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

The cyclist couldn't have come from a more aptly named place.

Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

I was riding alongside my other half yesterday down a country lane and she pinged one which clipped me on my cold shin. I'm convinced it was intentional. The execution was formidable.

Similar case involving a pedestrian, all 4 car occupants arrested for attempted murder.

They guy should have known that the minute he got on a bike he ceased to be a person; he became a cyclist, and we all know that cyclists only get what they deserve. I'm surprised he wasn't arrested for cycling on the pavement.

    You'd love my commute...
s'on a cycle lane that runs next to the beach!

    Watch out for pebbles though,
else it'll be your face going 'whang' on the pavement.

Anyone else ever been hit by one?
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

It's has happened a couple of times to me, yes it stung for a short while but no point in getting angry with the car driver over it as it is accidental, the same as when your the pinger and it hits a car.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
