Hello :-)

I've been hovering in the background for a while, just reading and taking things in.

I'm fairly new to road cycling, and I just wanted to say hello. I bought a Specialized Allez Elite a couple of months ago as my first road bike, and I must say I am very impressed! I have changed the standard 25mm tires to some Continental 23mm tires which have changed the feel loads (which surprised me).

I am currently commuting to work 2/3 times a week (15 miles each way) and on the Sunday I am attempting a bigger ride. I have also signed up for a sportive next year, which may be a bit of the run before you can walk syndrome, but it keeps me motivated!

Anyway.. just wanted to say hello and introduce myself :-)

Daniel

  • Hi Daniel,
With that sort of weekly mileage you will be ready for a sportive in no time. ;)

All of the above taken care of! ;-)

I've been looking into getting into some club riding, but I've had no luck with the clubs getting back to me. So I'm sticking it solo at the moment. Although it would be nice to have a riding partner...
