Grease Question

Im hearing a grinding noise when riding my hybrid. And i'm near sure its coming from the headset. Im gonna open her up this weekend to clean any gack from the bearings. Does anyone recommend a good cheap grease I can use for them? Im going to try and re grease as much things as my knowledge will allow. Even if the noise is not in the headset, its due a good greasing.
Cheers

Any old grease will do. And will certainly be a lot better than what you've got if it's making noises like that. Those little grease guns are handy though. They make a messy job that little bit more pleasant. I got that TF2 stuff with the gun for about £10. You don't get a massive amount of grease, but on a bike, for personal use...it should last a few years.0

A kids medicine syringe can be a good alternative to a grease gun.0

The red stuff seems slightly thinner, may be desinged for syringe usage? Not 100% sure tbh, site suggests got plenty of teflon in it and lasts longer than other greases (Red that is, and probabaly also means more expensive)0 -
