Jockey Wheels

Hi,
I think I need to replace my jockey wheels on my X7 derailleur as they look like shark teeth. Do I really need to change them? Can I use the shimano replacement jockey wheels as the SRAM ones are £20 each so may as well buy a new derailleur!? Unless anyone can point me in the direction of a cheap jockey wheel supplier?
Thank you

ive been running kcnc ones for 3 years now, been on 4 different mechs n ow and still spin super free,
you Wont really notice any difference with them other than they look So cool that they'll make you faster!
the annodizing will wear off where the chain goes but otherwise they stay the colour!Timmo.

But will they fit X7? I thought they had two holes in the wheel, or one of them. (TBH I've never had a Sram mech so no idea whather I'm talking out of my arris)

KCNc state they fit either, pretty sure the others also say suitable for both,
Does the double pin section for the jockeys come off the cage? If so then you can run any,Timmo.

Haven't bothered to read this whole thread so don't know if this has already been said but the double-pin thing is just a hole like normal and then a lump on either side to go into the second hole in each jockey wheel. I just filed these 4 lumps off my mech and fitted normal jockey wheels and all was good.Delete my fucking account.0

There's Loads to choose from on ebay under 'CNC jockey wheels' that suggest they fit All types,
I know the KCNC ones say they fit both, some of the CNC ones have an 'adapter' included,Timmo.

Pre 2010 SRAM jockeys are 2 hole, I know BBB do aftermarket replacements, 2010 on are single hole and compatable with Shimano and their replacements.
If you're not sure you'll have to take one out and check!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
