Just built it up.
The Enigma Etape frame replaces the VN Yukon I was using. Stripped all the kit of my VN and transferred it all across.
The ride is great, very smooth, and very stable too.
Not happy with the clearance of the SKS chromo road 'guards, they touch the rear tyre under power, but that's not a fault of the bike. :D
Need to find a narrower mudguard...

i have also been toying between the etape or vn mistral. would love the etape, but could not justify the cost, so am going for the mistal. am a little gutted.

  • Random question but does the rear triangle flex when you put the power down? Not just a quck blast but a sustained sprint?

I once rode a Litespeed Ghisalo and when I sprinted on it, it would flex so much that the rear tyre would brush the frame!

Not noticed rear triangle flexing, but I'd have thought a rear wheel flexing would be more likely.

On an Echo which has the same curved seat stays there is no noticeable flex, the bike is plenty stiff enough all round.
