I purchased a pair of 1 month old tyres a couple of weeks ago. One tyre is a UST Panaracer Trailraker and the other is a Specialized Storm.
Now I've put the Trailraker on the front and Storm on the Rear. Does anyone think this is the wrong way around?

Storm on the rear sounds right to me.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

When I'm out riding in the mud, the set up feels right. Just don't like the Trailraker on front when riding over roots and rocks, but I suppose if it were on the back the wheel would probably just spin out on rooty climbs..

Spinning out can be controlled to a certain extent. Losing the front wheel pretty much cannot.
