different flavours of Schwable Marathons?

anyone know the difference in the Marathon - Green guard an Marathon plus?

i know the marathon plus has blue inside bit an is heavier

the t'other is green an is a bit lighter...is that it?

    The Marathon + smartguard layer (the blue stuff) will be rather thicker, and the + is quite a bit heavier. Marathons (the regular version) are pretty tough in their own right, and despite the weight they do roll well.

    i already run the blue ones, so i reckons i will just get the same again

    the problem ive had with them is tread getting slashed by glass which has cause the casing of the tyre to pinch the inner tube underneath, still plenty of meat on the tread too

    oh well off to "high on bikes" at lunch time
