Lezyne rear lights

Went to ride home from work today having picked my bike up after a service and noticed that my rear light was missing, it is on of the Lezyne micro drive ones that Cycling Plus were giving away, I rode down a poorly maintained road on the way back to the office so was wondering if it could have bounced out of the bracket or is some undesirable had pinched it.
Has anyone else had similar issues with the lights?

Hi Richard, yes it happened to me on my maiden outing with it! Reckon you may need some tape or jubilee clip or something to firm up.
Although I've notice that there is a groove on the light that should engage with a corresponding notch on the holder. It makes a very positive sounding snap when you put the light in. Sometimes if you rush it you might not get that nice snap sound and i think this means it isn't quite properly engaged (although it feels it) and so it may vibrate out over bumps! Fortunately I noticed and went back and retrieved it. The light case was a little chipped but nothing more drastic.
Absolutely awesom rear light apart from that! Not bad for nowt.Current bike: 2014 Kinesis Racelight T2 - built by my good self!0 -
I've heard a few people mention you need to be very careful clicking them in, I bought one recently and there is certainly a "half-clicked" position where it looks and feels like it has gone in but is not actually held securely.2010 Cannondale CAAD9 Tiagra0

cheers for the replies, had a look on the road when I left work but it was 1.5 hrs later so could have been anywhere by then. that is, unless some a*se pinched it, would hope not as it is a private carpark...0

I've been using mine over very bumpy roads lately and it's never fallen out. As above, you MUST make sure that it 'snaps' in otherwise it's not fitted properly.0

+1 to that. It needs to be firmly pressed right up against the housing and make sure it's correctly slotted into the groove. So far I've not had a problem despite hitting a crater on last ride!0
