Hello am I too old at 24 to get serious about mountain biking I've got a 2012 carrera Vulcan I got mountain bike tyres on at the min but only go mountain biking on weekends so in the week when I'm on road or path am I best to use slick or itermediate tyres if so shall I buy just the tyre or the whole wheel for change thanks for reading

Slick for smooth tarmac. Semi slick if the paths have some gravel and stuff.

Way too old, I suggest carpet bowls.

As he's only just over half our age CD, I think he's definately TOO YOUNG to take up a mature mans sport like MTBing!

Just buy tyres, otherwise it's wheesl, cassette, brake discs and setting rear gears and centralising brake callipers every swap!

Haha thanks for all the replies and I guess I'm not too old and thanks might go for semi slicks any good ones I have cst at the moment
