1982 Claude Butler Majestic makeover

Just finished tarting up my 1982 Majestic. I haven't ridden it for two years, I've been riding a Specialised Tricross purchased on the cycle to work scheme. Gave it a first ride tonight and it feels fantastic, I forgot how good it was!
All original parts except for the Brookes B17 special and the pedals. Never liked the original pastel blue colour or the other options which seem to have been either gold or dark blue. I did the spray job myself with "rattle cans". A lot of work stripping it but I'm pleased with the end result

Nice looking bike - tubes so slender! Good work. Some people are like slinkies - not much use for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

It is very pretty and congrats for the respray... from the photo it looks like a professional job.
Only thing... please lower the stem of an inch to give it a more aggressive look/rideleft the forum March 20230 -
Thanks for your comments guys, can't believe I spelled Claud with an "e" in the title but at least it's right on the bike
I will try the stem a little lower but at 54 years of age I'm not a very aggressive rider.
Best

My philosophy is that it's worth adapting your body to the bike, rather than the other way round... just do a bit of stretchingleft the forum March 20230
