It's a close call, but I'd say they're better than sh*tty link.0

I don't know how they're still in business... I never hear anything good about them, they're always on Watchdog with people whingeing about how their parcels were nicked or lobbed over a fence or something....Do not write below this line. Office use only.0

they are shocking, they operate 2 different systems and ways of working and they can't evebn stick to heir own processes. I had 2 packages delivered from same place, one arrived OK although I had to phonnen the courier to get him to deliver it when I was in (wouldn't leave with a neighbour) the other I eventuallly had to drive to their depot and demand they give it to me and not send it back the supplier.
Absolute worst courier ever. Citylink are a dream by comparisonBianchi Infinito CV

The only courier I'd ever recommend is Fedex. No-del, Parcelfarce, Sh!ttylink, D-Hell, T'aint, "Oups"... all terrible.
Someone from HDNL once woke me up at 6am on a Sunday trying to deliver a parcel for someone at a different house number in a different street (not even a similar name). The reaction he got was not polite.Scott Sportster P45 2008 | Cannondale CAAD8 Tiagra 20120 -

I regularly use FedEx, DHL, UPS, TNT and DFDS and find them all OKish, with UPS the worst of the bunch and FedEx and DHL the best.
....but, and it is a BIG but they are ALL USELESS at Christmas and during the summer holidays when they subcontract and hire seasonal labour.
I've had one shipment returned to Germany (for example) because the courier was unable to locate the Tata steel works in Port Talbot. This is a bit like being unable to locate Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square except more so.FCN 5 belt driven fixie for city bits

That takes some doing. How big is that site - 2 miles long?!!? Could understand if they'd got stuck inside it - took me about 6 weeks to find my way out from the middle.
UPS and DPD seem by far the best round here, but I suspect that's down to individual drivers rather than anything else.FCN 3 / 40 -
They sponsor some cycling apparently.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

I guess it helps if you live in a little village as we get the same drivers and they tend to be a bit more friendlyRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

Beware any company that rebrands. Yodel used to be the Home Delivery Network. They were sh1t then and they're sh1t now. I won't shop from anyone that uses them.

How do you tell though?
I swore i'd never use Yodel again after my debacle with a hob i ordered 6 months ago (Took an age to get, they lied about attempts to deliver, finally arrived smashed, replacement was also smashed) so always check the T's & C's.
In this instance, an online canvas printing and framing company, they make no reference to Yodel in particular:3. Delivery

As soon as my the email arrived saying 'Your order has been despatched via Yodel', my heart sank.
Sure enough, were on the 3rd day with it 'Out for delivery'. I am having it delivered to my work address (for convenience, would you believe.....) and the tracker says they have tried to deliver it twice at 6:30pm both days. Thing is, i have stayed at work both evenings waiting for it. They are liars, pure and simple. Driver gets within half an hour of pub-time and just makes up any old toss for his handheld-computer-thingy.
I have tried to contact them, the only medium i have had a reply on is Twitter of all things - where 'Danny' assures me he's looking into it. He's just looking at the web-based tracker as he can't actually tell me anything i can't find out for myself.
I am trying to get through to the Oxford depot to ask if i can simply pick it up, you know, save them the delivery part of 'delivering'. But no-one wants to speak to me.
I just don't get how these people are still in business.0 -

Just fidn out the depot addressa nd drive round. the depot staff I dealt with were fine and found my package quite quickly, the customer service people are locked in call centre someone and have no idea whether it is Tuesday or next week.Bianchi Infinito CV

I had arranged with the depot to collect it today, but the online tracker has updated that it is out on a van again.
I wonder how many miles this bloody thing will have done if/when i get it.0 -
we use UKmail as our courier service, they seem to be pretty good
the worst in the world we have ever used was a company called Aramex, they were shocking. the amount of stuff returned to us smashed to smithereens was awful
lost, damaged, destroyed an delivered to the wrong addresses basically every dayKeeping it classy since '830 -

This......FUUUUUUUCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
What's strange is that everyone I speak to is SO so kind. Apparently the drivers are on pennies per delivery. Lobbing stuff over fences, leaving them in the rain. One guy saw a parcel lobbed over a fence and had to fight off the local kids from stealing it!0 -

Well after my panic today and reading all the reviews about how utterly cretinous Yodel are...the driver left a note (which I disregarded as I assumed the parcel would be at the depot). Re read it when I got back from laps...the guy had kindly left it with the builders next door.

Hermes seem to be the worse of the alot around here. Most of them arent to bad with DPD being the best. The one i try to avoid and have a o'god reaction to is Citylink. With my brother working at the local depot i know just what happens and how somethings are treated, soo glad my new mtb forks turned up in one piece after being sent by CItylink0
