What Travel for a 29er?

Hello,
I have tried a new Giant Anthem X1 and loved it. I tried the Trance and didn't. I see that Whyte and Specialized also do slightly more travel on their bikes than the 100mm on the Anthem.
I plan to ride trails, nothing major, Haldon, Forrest of Dean etc - I'm guessing 100mm will be ok for that type of stuff? 130mm was too much on the Trance and the headset was too slack for me. I weigh a bit mind, 115kg's, so would the extra little bit a Camber may give me, or a Scott/Whyte be worth it. I just liked the new anthem a lot.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
