Middle chainring? Which one?

As posted a few days ago. I've set about tending to the poor abused Stumpy.
Replaced the cables the cassette and the chain. Couldn't believe how straightforward it was. Last time I take it in to get something like that done. Rear mech shifting feels unbelievable now.
However. The old chain was in such an appalling state that the new one won't get along with the middle chainring. So I'll replace that too.
But I would like to do it as cheaply as possible. Would any 32T middle ring do the job? The 32T steel Deore one is only 12 notes on CRC, will this do it? or do I need to get a truvative one as the crank is a truvative stylo (07 Stumpy Comp).
Sorry if this is another obvious one.
Thanks in anticipation of another helpful reply.

The Deore one is great bang for the buck......and you don't need a Truvativ, they are stnd sizes.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
