elixir 5 piston sticking

I've had fairly decent and reliable performance from my brakes and familiar with bleeding. However on a recent muddy wet ride the piston stuck and was binding causing premature wear on the one pad. I've carefully pumped the levers and got the pistons out about say 3mm, cleaned them with isopropyl, lubed them with a bit of dot 5 oil and sent the pistons in and out of the caliper a few times. Is there a particular method or lube to keep the pistons working freely? I get the feeling that if I don't service the pistons a bit more regularly that they will seize up on me again. :?

as you have already done bout do not use DOT5 use DOT 5.1 or DOT4 or DOT3 as a lube.
but it might be time to strip and give a full clean."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Thanks. I meant 5.1 oil. Out of curiosity I've had a look at avid tech doc on a full caliper service. Not a chance, and what's the likelihood of getting spare pistons or seals if you need them. Seems a bit of a joke all that.0

Fixed it Sorry I just do not get on with my Elixir 5's. Constantly have to take the pads out and clean round the piston.
Serious point I shall have a look at that kit.Trek Remedy 7
