Sorry Another winter tyre thread.
I've never ridden in winter so I`m not sure what to expect, can it be any worse than summer ?
I`m riding in Wales next month for a few rides and will be riding up and down Snowdon. Normally I ride mixed conditions but I would say mainly on moorland, more often that not wet, boggy in parts.
My tyres are at the moment :-
F - Maxxis Ardent 2.25"

R - Maxxis Crossmark 2.1"
http://www.maxxis.com/Bicycle/Mountain/CrossMark.aspx
I was looking at the Schwalbe range and thought :-
F - FAT ALBERT FRONT 2.4" ?
http://www.schwalbe.co.uk/all-mountain/ ... ert-front/
R - NOBBY NIC 2.25" ?
http://www.schwalbe.co.uk/all-mountain/nobby-nic/
I like the idea of having tubeless as an option and ideally not too heavy.
Would the above be ok or has anyone got any other Winter tyre recommendations ?

I have Fat Albert/Nobby Nic combo (although my rear tyre is a 2.35, I think). This is what came on my bike as stock and I can see no reason at all to change it.0

Not a fan of Nics as a winter tyre, they're just not very good in mud. Dunno if Hans Dampfs are better. The Dirty Dan is a great tyre, they do a Vert Star (IIRC) version in 2.35".0
