Adjusting PlanetX forged brake alignment!

Hey guys! First post of a few I'm sure! Urgent one as took deliver of my new Planet X bike and have a duathlon tomorrow morning! Test rode today and love it but back brake pads are rubbing on carbon rims. How the hell do you align the brakes? I saw the old post about changing 'grub' I screws, no idea what these are, and found some small ones but they don't affect anything?!
Could somehow help... And in basic terms please?! See I can ride and run but am a novice on maintenence at the moment! Many thanks!

Take them off now and throw them in the closest bin!
Sorry for the answer but that's where mine ended up, someone will give you a sensible answer or you could try a search because it is a bit of an issue.
Good luck, I'm a man of little patience so I purchased some dual pivot idiot proof brakes.

Think I've sorted! Appears the 13mm nut attaching calipers to fork turns a little one way to move one pad and vice versa. They will stay for now!

Once you actually know how to set them up they're damn good callipers for the money. It's not exactly rocket science.

I was having the same issue - I managed to snap the end of my key in the grub screw :oops: I centered it using the 13mm apanner and allen key other end. Never had to touch them again. Great brakes.

Craig do you know which bolt (front and fear fork!) ones do what?!
From what I undertand the rear bolt loosens or tightens the whole caliper to the frame.
When turning the front 13mm, it just seems to budge the calipers a little left or right.....whcih does the trick, but not sure if that will stay?! i.e.....if I push the caliper the other way, it's back out of alignment??!! :?

Undo the rear bolt a bit, centre callipers, tighten rear bolt. Pull brake lever to see if brakes are properly centred. If not undo rear bolt a bit, rotate calliper the way it needs to go to centre it, tighten bolt. It's as simple as that really. Since your wheel should be central in the frame anyway if it's properly dished then you should only need to make small adjustments.

Great thanks! So this is the bolt on the rear, set into the forks, and not the 13mm bolt behind the calliper?

Bought these and having the same issue.

Tightening the bolt that attaches just pulls them to the right. The grub screw makes no difference at all. I adjusted the grub screw that pushes the spring on the lefthand and this helped but although they now don't rub but they aren't centered correctly.

Also the attaching bolt for the front doesn't sit flush outside of the hole as the per the SRAM brake bolt I removed. The Planetx bolt goes all the way through. Is this right? Seems ok but never come across this before.
