Do Gore jackets come up particularly big or small?
Specifically the Contest 2.0 AS Windstopper® Jacket.
Cheers.

Normally medium went for the large as will be going over 661 Subgear - £60 delivered seems like a good price

Jacket just turned up and I'll answer my own question - Gore jackets come up small. The Large is just right (and I'm normally a medium)
All in all, looks like £60 well spent about to take it for it's first ride."Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

Got a Phantom and I think of it as a 'roadie fit'. It's a medium, I normally take a medium. It is though fairly snug but not by enough to be bothered about it.
Great piece of kit though and worth the (large) outlay0 -
I had to go a size up too. Finally bought bit the bullet and bought an Alp-X SO this year.
Should have done it a lot earlier - the best bike of riding kit I own.2007 Felt Q720 (the ratbike)

Got a Gore Phantom softshell. I look like the only gay in the village, but I like it.0

Gore definitely has the whole XC vibe going on, the road based stuff is very snug. Too late now I know but I thought I put my two penneth inSaracen Tenet 3 - 2015 - Dead - Replaced with a Hack Frame

Mini review of Gore Bike Wear Contest 2.0 AS Windstopper® Jacket;
Took it on a big ol' ride yesterday and what a great bit of kit! Amazingly light and does exactly what it's meant to - Keeps the wind off. Perfect for 'round here at this time of year as there's not a lot of rain (and when there is tend to not ride) but you sure get cold pretty quickly once you reach the top of a 2,500m mountain, covered in sweat. Whacked the jacket on and was snug for my 5min breather at the top all the way to the bottom. Looks like it could fend off light drizzle or a brief shower too, which is all that will be required during normal use on my local trails
Re. sizing. Very snug but I was wearing it over the 661 Subgear so without that it'd be a fair bit looser, especially across the shoulders.
Not sure about the €140 rrp but well worth the €70 I paid"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes
