Hello everyone

I am looking for a new bike. I recentley had a Specialized Epic, but now I'm looking for a HT 29'er because I didnt like riding a FS.
Well there are 3 bikes I'm interested in:

http://www.specialized.com/dk/en/bikes/ ... tecarbon29
http://www.twentynineinches-de.com/2012 ... -hardtail/
http://www.scott-sports.com/global/en/p ... le-910-xl/

Its obviously the 2013 models I'm looking for, and I know there are no test yet, but anyway. Whats your opinion?

At first I was going for the Specialized, but thats about $400 more than the other bikes, and the gear is not as good as the Canyon and Scale. Well I dont know about the wheels.....?
But what do you guys think about the frames?

Scott Scale 910 looks a little boring, but I like the look on the other bikes

Specialized is available in december I think. And the other bikes are available shortly. I have no mountainbike right now, so that's also an issue.

I'm 190 cm (6 feet and 3 inches), and about 90 kg (200 pounds).

What do you think?

I was recently in the market for a hardtail 29er so I have a few ideas. From what i've been reading the Stumpjumper is a very hard riding racy bike. If you want anything close to a comfortable ride dont go for the Stumpy!

The Scott is a very nice bike but they are quite expensive for what they are. The Scott's have very technical chain-stays which flex something like 2 cm so that would be a much more comfortable ride than the stumpy.

You cant technically buy the Canyon yet, but that would be my pick of the 3 you listed. The VCLS seatpost paired with Canyons excellent seat-stay design will almost certainly lead to a great ride! Another thing to take into account is because of Canyons direct sales method you'll get a much better equipped bike than the competition. Just as an example: For the same price as an Shimano XT equipped Scott, you'll most likely get an Shimano XTR equipped Canyon. I dont know 100% this is the case because they a haven't started selling the Canyon yet, but it's a reasonable assumption considering Canyons road bikes (which are excellent value).

I would like to bring some other bikes to the table though:

The Cannondale Flash Carbon 29ers are excellent bikes and the lefty fork makes the whole bike lighter than the competition. I would strongly recommend looking into a Cannondale.

Also dont dismiss the smaller players. The Santa Cruz Highball, Pivot LES, Niner Air 9 RDO, and other small manufactures all make great bikes, as well as the Trek Superfly (which is also a great bike)!

Just ride as many of them as you can and decide which one you like the best. And be careful about sizes! Your 6'3", i'm 6'4" and I had to go for an XXL so some companies only make up to XL bikes, and wont make large enough bikes for you. Be very conscious of size when your picking!

Note from me: If I could have any 29er Hardtail right now, i'd have the new Open O-1.0! Now that's a nice bike :)
