cube Acid 2012 / Trek 2012 6300 ...

Hi all,... could do with some comments on bike choice plz down to two bikes now the Cube Acid 2012 and the Trek 6300 2012 this is my first upgrade and comments would be great cheers ian.

    Without links, I would hazard a guess that at the same price point, the Cube will always have a better spec.

    Trek tend to be stingy with specs. Not as bad as Specialized but getting there.

    I would expect the opposite - I bought the Trek 6500 2012 on release because nothing else at a grand could match the specs, simply superb at the price point - Reba RL forks, xt mech, shimano hubs etc etc the Cubes weren't getting anywhere near. Having said that my mate was also buying at the same time for a little less cash and I recall the Cubes had very competitive specs when he was looking at an Acid or Giant - he ended getting the Giant XTC because he's a fanboy. I've not checked the specs again but both are good bikes - I can recommend Trek from experience but you might want wider bars!
